You are reading the Food Durability guide. In this guide, you will learn about how durability works with raw and cooked foods.
In Eternal Fantasy Online, foods don’t go bad. They expire. The difference is an expired food item will disappear from your inventory. Until that moment, it is as fresh as the moment it was harvested, processed, or looted.
All food items have a durability and the Perishable debuff. This debuff reduces the food’s durability by one per hour, no matter how or where it is stored.
I can’t focus.
Cogs, man, this article is super short, and we’re almost done
Then we can spend the rest of our lives watching Old Earth cartoons or something
Won’t be any cartoons in the next life, you know?
I don’t watch cartoons. I’m not a kid.
You’re one of them?
You probably think video games make you a kid, too
It’s just entertainment
Do you watch sports?
Yeah, football, mostly.
Well well well, I think you need to expand your horizons before you shuffle off this mortal coil
Maybe it’ll prepare you for how different the next world will be
Personally, I like anime
Fine. Suggest something.
Really?
You have to watch everything I list
I’m not agreeing to that. You probably like kinky stuff with tentacles.
You still there?
Yeah yeah, I was going through my list
Alright, here’s a classic a manly man like you should enjoy: Sailor Moon
Hmm, sounds interesting. It’s about sailors? Exploration and stuff?
Yeah, exactly!
Exploration and stuff...
Raw Foods
When harvested, processed from a kill, or looted, raw foods start with their maximum durability. For most foods, this is 400, which means it’ll last for 400 hours or 20 in-game days.
Cooked Foods
Unlike raw foods, cooked foods tend to have a reduced durability at a maximum of 200, which is 10 in-game days. It is ideal to not cook food until it is needed.
The benefit of cooking food—beyond improvements to Satiated gained, flavor, and the possibility to boost stats—is that it resets the durability.
A carrot with 5 durability can be made into something else, which will start at 200. This is only useful, however, if you have all the required ingredients and tools. If you don’t, paying a small fee to a restaurant will help cook your food and grant them experience. A win-win.
This is not exploration stuff!
This concludes the Food Durability guide. There are other guides you should read to better enjoy your time in Eternal Fantasy Online. Below is a simple index of subjects that players found interesting.
